This garage addition in Phoenix, Az is located in the Dateland Homes neighborhood. Many of the homes in the neighborhood have been improved, and it is a desirable area.
There was a 2-car attached carport that was not original to the home, and did not match the character of the home or neighborhood. The homeowner wanted an enclosed garage, rather than a carport, and wanted the garage to match the home’s curb appeal.
The city of Phoenix had already approved the project drawings for construction when the homeowner contacted us. We did not provide drawings or design for the project. There were some discrepancies in the plans that we identified before construction started. We resolved the issues with careful site and design assessment, input from the City of Phoenix building inspector, and the help of a surveyor and an engineer.
This garage addition in Phoenix, AZ was started in February of 2024 with demolition of the existing carport, and completed in June of 2024.
